Chat that stays between you
Every PeerFlow message is sealed on your device with keys only you and the other person have. While you are both online it travels directly between your devices; if they are offline, the server keeps a copy it cannot read until they come back.
Get the appKeys that never leave you
Your account’s encryption keys are created on your device and locked with your password before anything is stored. The server holds only that locked bundle, so it can never read your messages — not even if it wanted to.
Each sign-in also needs a code sent to your email, so a stolen password on its own isn’t enough to get in.
- ECDH P-256 key agreement with AES-256-GCM encryption
- Verify a contact’s safety number to rule out impersonation
- History stored encrypted on your devices, not in the cloud
Contacts on your terms
Add people by email or @username and save them under whatever name you like. Set your own photo, display name and a short “about” line — only your contacts see them.
Your chats in a folder you own
Turn on the sync folder and PeerFlow keeps an encrypted copy of your history in Downloads/PeerFlow (or anywhere you choose), and saves files people send you there. Sign in on another computer with the same folder and your history comes back.
Common questions
No. Messages are encrypted on your device before they are sent. The server only ever passes along or briefly stores ciphertext it has no key for.
The encrypted message waits on the server and is delivered, then deleted, as soon as they come back online.
Your keys are locked with your password, so it cannot be reset without losing access to old encrypted history. Keep it somewhere safe.
